How We Collect, Use And Protect Your Information

Last Updated: July 22, 2026

1. Introduction

Sariska Safari Lodge ("we", "us", "our", "the Lodge") operates a boutique eco-resort adjoining the Sariska Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan, India, together with a Central Reservations office in New Delhi. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit sariskasafarilodge.com (the "Website"), how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.

By submitting an enquiry, booking request, or otherwise providing information through this Website, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not submit any information and instead contact us directly by phone or email to discuss your stay.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. When you use our Contact, Room Enquiry, or Jungle Safari Booking Request forms, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, preferred travel dates, number of guests, room or safari preferences, and any special requests or messages you choose to include.

Information required for safari permits. Because entry into the Sariska Tiger Reserve requires a permit issued by the Rajasthan Forest Department, safari bookings additionally require full name, nationality, and government-issued identification details (such as Aadhaar, passport, or driving licence number) for every guest joining the safari. Foreign nationals may also need to provide passport and visa details. We only request this information once a safari is being arranged, and only to the extent the Forest Department's permit process requires.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and analytics tools automatically log limited technical data when you browse the Website, including your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, pages visited, and the site that referred you here. This is used only in aggregate to understand and improve the Website; we do not use it to identify you personally.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, discuss availability and rates, prepare and confirm room or safari bookings, and follow up with you by phone, WhatsApp, or email as part of that conversation. Because we do not take instant bookings through the Website, every enquiry is followed up personally by a member of our reservations team.

  • To communicate with you about your stay, safari, or general enquiry.
  • To prepare Forest Department safari permit applications on your behalf.
  • To send booking confirmations, itineraries, and practical travel information.
  • To maintain internal records of guest enquiries and stays for service and follow-up purposes.
  • To improve our Website, offerings, and guest experience based on aggregate usage patterns.
  • To meet legal, safety, and regulatory obligations, including those of the Forest Department and local authorities.

4. Forest Department Permits and Government Reporting

Jungle safaris at Sariska are regulated by the Rajasthan Forest Department, which allocates zones, vehicle quotas, and entry permits. To arrange a safari on your behalf, we are required to share the identification and nationality details described above with the Forest Department and its authorised booking channels. This information is shared solely for the purpose of obtaining your safari permit and is handled by the Forest Department under its own applicable rules; we do not control how the Forest Department subsequently stores or uses this information.

Where local law enforcement, tourism, or health authorities require guest registration details (as is customary for hotels and resorts in India), we will share the minimum information necessary to comply.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With the Rajasthan Forest Department, solely to obtain safari entry permits for confirmed safari bookings.
  • With trusted service providers who help us operate the Website (such as web hosting and email delivery), under obligations to keep your information confidential and use it only to provide services to us.
  • With local authorities where required for guest registration, safety, or legal compliance.
  • Where disclosure is required by law, court order, or governmental request.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our Website may use cookies and similar technologies (such as standard web analytics tools) to remember basic preferences and understand how visitors use the site, so that we can improve its content and performance. These cookies do not collect financial information and are not used to build advertising profiles for third parties. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings; doing so will not prevent you from browsing the Website, though some features may not function as intended.

7. No Online Payments

This Website does not process online payments and does not collect or store card, UPI, or bank account details through any form on this site. All payments for confirmed bookings are arranged directly with our reservations team through bank transfer, UPI, or payment at the property, communicated to you separately once your booking is confirmed. Please do not send card numbers, CVV, PINs, or online banking passwords through our enquiry forms, email, or WhatsApp; our team will never ask you to do so.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information submitted through our Website, including restricted access to our administrative systems and encrypted transmission of form submissions. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain enquiry and booking information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, service your stay, meet our accounting, legal, and Forest Department reporting obligations, and maintain a record of past guests for legitimate business purposes. You may request deletion of your information at any time as described in Section 10 below, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You may write to us at any time to ask what personal information we hold about you, to request a correction, or to request that we delete it. We will action reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required or entitled to retain information (for example, Forest Department or accounting records). You may also ask us to stop contacting you for any purpose other than completing an enquiry already in progress.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Website is intended for use by adults arranging travel. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Where a child's name or age is provided by a parent or guardian as part of a family booking or safari permit requirement, it is used solely for that booking or permit purpose.

12. Third-Party Links

Our Website may link to third-party sites, such as maps or social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites, and we encourage you to review their own privacy policies before providing any information to them.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and operational reasons. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was most recently revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
